Guru Pet Food’s New Ambassador
Amelia has officially joined the Geekster Team at Guru! We are so excited to have been selected as ambassadors for the coming year! This year Guru has a whole GeekSTAR team of 3 pawsome dog bloggers with their own ambassador roles! You can read all about it on their blog here. We had a little interview with the team for this announcement that we have included below!
Up Close and Pawsonal with A-List GeekSTAR Amelia
1. Welcome Eva and Amelia to #TeamGuru tell us a little bit about yourselves.
Hey Geeksters! We are so excited to be a part of the team! We are a girl cav duo in London. Our Instagram is bright, happy & more often than not pink! Our website is all about dog friendly London & the best buys for not only your dog but you too! Amelia and I do everything together. We are both cafe girls, you’ll find us looking at each other, deep in conversation in a place where espresso & cake are sold together! Needless to say Amelia is my little princess and she only eats what she wants. After her samples from Guru ran out she refused to eat anything else! This is why we will be spending the next year #SpreadingTheLove around London.
2. Is blogging your profession or a hobby?
I am incredibly humbled, happy & proud to be able to say I am now a blogger by profession!
3. Have you met anyone interesting/famous on your blogging journey?
We have! I’m sitting here wondering who wouldn’t mind being mentioned. I wouldn’t like to mention more personal encounters but publicly we have met with Siobhan Fergusson the woman behind Pretty City London, we were asked to do a photoshoot with her and will be featured in her new book on London. The famous makeup artist Tania Grier, she loves Cavaliers & has done the make up for just about every celebrity you can think of! We were totally starstruck when meeting Clym Evernden the famous fashion illustrator. When you look at the luxury shop windows (like Tiffany & Co) he has done the artwork in them. Amelia got up close and personal giving kisses to Thomas Bjørn the European Ryder Cup Captain.
4. How much time do you spend blogging?
It’s something that I am thinking of 24/7. I do have 3 substantial blog posts each week, I don’t have time for much else! I started blogging after many years in academics so writing itself doesn’t take me long. I’m lucky to live where I do, photoshoots work around our day nicely. I spend a lot of time on our Instagram page, I drive my fiancé a little crazy with constantly commenting on photos.
5. What tips can you share from creating visibility to yourself, Amelia and your blog?
I find being happy & friendly goes a long way. Bright photos with plants in them are really trending right now. I’ve had rather nice business cards printed out & I give those out to people who say hello to Amelia. In the short time we’ve been blogging we have overwhelmingly seen people fall into what I call the blogger trap. Being jealous and competing will only bring you down. Be happy, be you & never mind everyone else! I have a feeling this is why Amelia & I shine out from the crowd.
6. Finally, if you could have any super power what would you choose and why?
Superpower! I would love to be able to speak to animals – does that count? Of course in order to speak to Amelia, but I also try to have conversations with my horse and even pigeons! Would make my life so much happier if I could have real conversations with animals.
So there you have it! Our introductory interview with Guru! Guru was our very first review here on the blog. Amelia absolutely loves their food & we are so excited to have been selected as their ambassadors for the coming year!
