Amelia’s Bath Routine

The Konjac Sponge Co sponges & Aroma Paws shampoo!

Bath Time!

We are going to Crufts together this week by invitation of the Kennel Club as bloggers. Of course we are wanting to look our best so it was time for a grooming session with Amelia!

We are so lucky to have had the wonderful team at The Konjac Sponge Company send us a  Pet Sponge to try out! They kindly sent me some to try out too! We also went out to buy a second bottle of our favourite Aroma Paws Shampoo from Purplebone.

After Amelia’s bath & blow dry I did a walk through of how I groom Amelia to get her looking flawless!

Once the sponge is wet it becomes soft almost gel like in texture!

I really wanted to try the 100% pure Konjac pet sponge and was so excited when India from The Konjac Sponge Co agreed to send us one to try with Amelia! I’ve never wanted to get a natural sponge as they are living creatures. The Konjac Sponge Company is the original Konjac sponge company [there are some copy cats with products that aren’t pure Konjac so look out!]. They are certified vegan & cruelty free and originate from South Korea, made entirely of pure Konjac vegetable fibre.

Nice and soft for Amelia

Barely had to use any shampoo as the sponge helped spread the foam

On the packet it says it’s to wash your pets face! But it was so nice to use I washed all her body with it. I didn’t have to use as much shampoo which was the best part! It wasn’t about it being filled with water I felt like it really cleaned and helped lift off the shedding hairs.

Because of the more narrow tip it was really easy to safely wash Amelia’s face with shampoo. I hadn’t ever done it before and the results were amazing! They also say that this is a fantastic way to prevent & remove tear stains!

Hair Cut Time!

After her blow dry

After having a little blow dry I brush her ears straight and gently trim a little to keep their shape with kitchen scissors! She hasn’t ever actually had a professional groom.

I do the same with her paw fluff I brush them out & cut them in a round shape. I also lift her paws a bit like you would a horses hooves and cut the fluff underneath as she has such long paw hair growing between her toes they will get matted.

Our new Furminator !

We got this amazing new Furminator from Purplebone on Kings Road as well which is great to minimise shedding and keep the full coat looking tidy.

Feeling Flawless

End result: perfect look for Crufts! It’s amazing what a difference the Doggy sponge made. We have recently tried other shampoos too, but our ultimate favourite is this Aroma Paws one, all natural no itching & the scent is perfect.

Sometimes we use a little bit of dog perfume to top up between bath times! We really love this little treat from Mungo & Maud.

Finishing Touches

Love,

Eva & Amelia ♥

PS. Having tried out the Konjac Sponge Co sponges sent for me I am totally hooked! They feel amazing when you wash your face with them. It’s like having a relaxing facial! I especially like the mini pore refiner puff with added green clay.

What a lovely post! We bathed Elsa at the weekend but she is such a tomboy and already a scruffy mess. Will have to tidy her up tonight! Love the look of these products. Purple Bone is top of my list of places to visit in London!
