Guru Cold Pressed Dog Food

We had seen some of our awesome ‘pawfriends’ eating Guru Pet Food and we wanted to try it out too! Above is a box containing samples of all the products they make kindly sent to us by the wonderful team at Guru!

We were totally new to the concept of cold pressed dog food, but as soon as I took out a kibble to have a look at it the difference was clear! At the end of this post is a VIDEO of Amelia doing a ‘live’ food test and telling you which flavour she prefers! I also take a closer look at the kibble in this video.

Now we want to tell you about the amazing invention of dog food into the shape of a bone! Thats a meal shaped as a bone! It’s a revolutionary idea – Imagine you are out at a restaurant having your meal and then you look down at your little friend begging for something to try too. Now you can take a meal bone with you so your furry friend can eat with you too – hassle free !

The Trip Bones !

Are you proud? I’m holding it !!

The trip bones come in 2 sizes – Large ‘Road Trip’ bone &  Small ‘Field Trip’ bone!

Amelia looked so proud holding her very own field trip bone in her mouth! She was just as excited about it as she would be for a treat! Ha! I feel like I hacked a parenting trick. Getting your kid to enjoy veggies instead of candy!

It was quite hard for her little teeth to chew so she didn’t finish it all over coffee but she did manage to eat one end of it! I think for Cavaliers & city pups who can be a little ‘princess like’ about having to work for their meal – the small field trip bone is the perfect size!

Personally I am so excited about these trip bones! I feel like it’s a dog food revolution. Amelia and I go out for the whole day together and I’ve always felt bad she only gets a meal super early in the morning on those days and I overcompensate with huge amounts of treats throughout the day. Now I can literally have a nutritious healthy meal in my pocket for her to eat while I eat my meal too.

I know some dog moms bring meals in plastic containers etc but at least for us a meal bone is the perfect solution for a worry free meal on the go! Just put it in your handbag or pocket and off you go!

Btw.. there was NO mess either! Pawfect for restaurants or hotels.

We love Guru! Being the ambassadogs kinda gives that a way! haha.
Such a great food, and everyone is so tense and testing of dog foods now “should you feed this, should you feed that” but I think what Guru has shuts people up and makes them listen. Please the geekster team are bloody amazing, we can’t wait to join them again at the shows this year.

The bones our the dogs favourite too! Although I try and be sparing as it’s a whole meal for Lily, but sometimes it’s great for a treat, as well as the whole meal when we’re traveling.

Alf was a very early convert to Guru, and we have been shouting about it ever since – So proud to be a guru geek! It had completely changed meal times for us, it was usually a stressful experience.. I just could not get him to eat! Now he loves it!

I have the fussiest little cocker spaniel called Ruby she will eat anything as long as it doesn’t constitute dog food, we tried Guru a couple of years ago and she turned her nose up at it so i thought if i bough some trip bones she would eat them as it wasn’t going into her bowl she would think it’s a treat!! My cunning plan worked….a little 😏 it’s taken her 2 days to eat just over half of one, i think they’re too hard for her, has anyone else come across this?
